First Steps/Maternity Support Services (MSS) provides extra help via in-home visits for pregnant individuals receiving Apple Health (Medicaid). Nurses, counselors and dietitians work to create a care plan that supports healthy birth outcomes. This includes things like nutrition education, food security, housing support, breastfeeding support, infant feeding and care, vital baby items, and emotional support.
