Social and Recreational Activities for Children with Special Needs at Ryther's Aspiring Youth

Aspiring Youth offers after-school social groups and summer camp programs for children ages 5–18, as well as programs for young adults ages 18–26. Services are designed for verbal participants whose needs can be supported within a 4:1 participant-to-staff ratio. A formal diagnosis is not required. Participants often include individuals with autism, ADHD, mild cognitive delays, learning differences, social anxiety, and other social-emotional challenges. Using an experiential, conversation-based learning model, programs focus on building confidence, flexibility, self-advocacy, perspective-taking, and social problem-solving skills.
