Play and Learn groups are free, play-based early learning sessions for children ages 1–5 and their parents or caregivers. Adults stay with their children and learn simple strategies they can continue at home. Each session includes story time, hands-on activities, music, and opportunities for social-emotional development.

West Valley School District #208 offers a variety of early learning resources to support children from prenatal to age five and their families. These include a home visiting program, which provides personalized support for expecting parents through age five, family engagement opportunities such as Play & Learn groups where parents and caregivers participate alongside their children, and developmental screenings and referrals to connect families with needed services. Also offers early childhood special education support through Child Find. Together, these programs help ensure that every child enters kindergarten ready to learn and thrive.
