Eligibility

Replacements car seats are primarily for caregivers who reside in Cowlitz or Wahkiakum County. Child MUST be present in order to receive a replacement car seat. Replacement of a car seat is determined by Safe Kids Lower Columbia child passenger safety technicians. If an interpreter is needed, you must provide your own since there is not one on staff (they must be 13 years or older).

Clinics are first come, first served. No appointments necessary.

Fees

No fees for car seat checks. No fees for one new replacement car seat. $15 fee for additional car seats.

Safe Kids Lower Columbia is led by Cowlitz County EMS and Trauma Care Council, which provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, this coalition implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups, safety workshops and sports clinics, that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.
