WE SERVE: BIPOC individuals and families looking for community and belonging on Whidbey Island. WHAT WE PROVIDE: Community education, BIPOC youth mentoring and engagement, adult BIPOC affinity groups and community resilience. OTHER: Members of the BIPOC community on Whidbey Island are welcome. Our mission is to create structures, processes, relationships, and physical spaces that nurture the joy, safety, and liberation of our youth and BIPOC community. Our work revolves around the needs and aspirations of BIPOC people, intentionally rebalancing our attention, energy, and resources toward our community. We are dedicated to removing every barrier to healing, safety, and thriving for BIPOC families on Whidbey Island. We meet people on their terms, not ours, and we let them define what support and barrier reduction look like for their household. Pamoja Place is — and will always be — a community driven organization shaped by the lived experiences, wisdom, and aspirations of the people we serve.
