Description

Trauma therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy designed to help individuals who have experienced traumatic events. The primary goal of trauma therapy is to assist individuals in processing their traumatic experiences, managing symptoms, and promoting healing and recovery. Therapists at Brigid Collins utilize evidence-based practices such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus (CBT+), Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
