Afghan Health Initiative partners with Kidvantage to provide children ages 0 to 12 years old with important items such as carseats, strollers, diapers, wipes, baby pack-n-plays, bassinets, clothing, toys, books, and more. We are also able to provide items for expecting and postpartum mothers with maternity wear, personal care goods and mother-infant support items.

Provides diapers, wipes, emergency food, school supplies, clothing, job search and resume help, play and learn groups, and resource navigation.

Provides food, toiletries, diapers, assistance applying for benefits, job search assistance, utility assistance, clothing and household items, school supplies, holiday assistance, and referrals to community resources.

We Serve: We serve individuals, children, and families in Stanwood, Camano Island, and surrounding areas who are facing challenges affording basic needs, maintaining stability, or navigating support systems. Our services are available to people of all abilities. We Provide: Assistance for rent, utilities, school or work supplies, fuel (for transportation), emergency food when the local food bank is unavailable, prescription medication, parent support group, play and learn groups, free or low-cost glasses and hearing aids and resource navigation. Other: For emergency financial assistance, clients must live in the Stanwood Camano school district and meet income qualifications. Call for an appointment with the resource coordinator.

Provides $50 to eligible children for school clothes. Registration typically begins in July; please call for details.

Program to help Whatcom Dream Financial Empowerment Course Graduates purchase school clothing and supplies for their children. Participants can purchase a $100 gift card for only $25. Proceeds go into a scholarship fund, which allows Whatcom Dream to offer Financial Empowerment courses for free.  

Provides school supplies to families in need. Serves residents in the Pullman School District.

Provides new coats, scarves, gloves, blankets, shoes, socks, backpacks and other warm items to low-income, homeless, and foster school-aged children.

Offers diapers, school supplies, resource navigation, and parenting programs.

WE SERVE: Families with children in South Whidbey Island, especially those facing challenges like isolation, poverty, or lack of local services. WE PROVIDE: Help with school, parenting, paying bills, birthdays and holidays, winter clothes, connections to community resources. OTHER: Services are available to all families with school-aged children in South Whidbey Island, regardless of their circumstances.

Essential school supplies and a new backpack are available for local pre-K through 12th graders preparing to attend a public or private school. Distribution happens in August, check website for details.
