WE SERVE: Families with school-aged children in South Whidbey Island. WE PROVIDE: Various programs to nurture the potential in every student. Programs are designed to encourage creativity, foster learning and build essential skills and healthy community connections. OTHER: Services are available to all families with school-aged children in South Whidbey Island.

Virtual Tutoring at Learn to Be

Provides free, online 1-on-1 tutoring to K-12 and ESL students all around the US. Volunteer tutors meet with students about 1-2 times a week for 60-minute lessons. Serves students from underserved, low-income communities.

Reading Skills Assessment and Tutoring at Central Washington University (Reading Intervention Center)

Offers brief assessments of current reading skill development for children K - 5th grade. Children who have been previously identified as having a learning disability or other disability, as well as students without special needs, are welcome to access services through the center. Also offers tutoring for children who need help with developing reading skills.
