Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Groups offer parents and caregivers the opportunity to support their children's early learning through everyday activities and build healthy relationships with each other. Please use the interactive map to locate and call the group that fits your needs for enrollment.

WE SERVE: Individuals and families in our local community who need support with food and clothing. WE PROVIDE: Free food to those in need, including variety of groceries to help feed individuals and families, and gently-used clothing for people of all ages. OTHER: We regularly update the food and clothing we have available, and you are welcome to visit as often as needed. Diapers may be available depending on donations.

WE SERVE: Island County’s WIC program is here for pregnant people, new parents, and children under 5, providing you with healthy food, free health and nutrition services, breastfeeding support, and access to local markets, all at no cost if you qualify. WE PROVIDE: Health screening, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, help to obtain other services, and monthly benefits for nutritious foods. OTHER: All Island County families on Medicaid, Basic Food, and/or TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families) qualify, plus other income-qualified families. To check eligibility, please visit the Department of Health webpage. Receiving WIC does not affect your immigration status.

WE SERVE: Preschoolers and families with young children. WE PROVIDE: Preschool (3 to 5 years) and family storytimes to prepare young minds for the adventures of reading. Music, movement, play time or art activities may be included.

We Serve: We serve people and households who live in Washington State. Please check income guidelines on website. Income is self-reported and we do not require paperwork. You and your family can come to the Food Bank to shop for groceries and needed items, much like in a grocery store setting. On Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there is a Senior Serve hour by appointment (for those age 60+). We Provide: The Food Bank offers a variety of staple food items such as rice, beans, canned goods, milk, meat, and fresh produce. When available, we also provide non food items like diapers, toiletries, and pet food. Other: Sign up online before your first visit. On a distribution day, come to the Food Bank. Get a number ticket (either in person or via virtual queue). When your number is called, check in and shop. The Food Bank does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

We Serve: The Clothing Bank is open to everyone — men, women, and children of all ages — regardless of income or background. We Provide: The Clothing Bank offers new and gently used clothing for people in need. Anyone can “shop” for clothing at no charge, choosing items that fit and suit their household. In addition to everyday clothing, there is a back‑to‑school event (in mid‑August) where backpacks, school supplies, and clothing are provided. The Caring Place also offers diapers, toiletries, and other essential items, along with support to connect with other community resources. Residents in Stanwood-Camano may shop 1x per month and all other residents may shop 1x every other month. Other: There are no special requirements or documents needed to use the Clothing Bank. The only information request is name and date of birth.

We Serve: We serve individuals, children, and families in Stanwood, Camano Island, and surrounding areas who are facing challenges affording basic needs, maintaining stability, or navigating support systems. Our services are available to people of all abilities. We Provide: Assistance for rent, utilities, school or work supplies, fuel (for transportation), emergency food when the local food bank is unavailable, prescription medication, parent support group, play and learn groups, free or low-cost glasses and hearing aids and resource navigation. Other: For emergency financial assistance, clients must live in the Stanwood Camano school district and meet income qualifications. Call for an appointment with the resource coordinator.

WE PROVIDE: Essential items, including non-perishable food, fresh produce, hygiene items, diapers, and basic household supplies. We also aim to educate clients about nutrition and life skills. Your privacy and dignity are important to us.

WE SERVE: Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. WE PROVIDE: Baby (0-18 months), toddler (19 months to 3 years) and preschool (3 to 5 years) storytimes to prepare young minds for the adventures of reading. Music, movement, play time or art activity may be included.

We Serve: People without health insurance or with limited insurance (“underinsured”) are welcome. Our primary service area includes residents of Snohomish, Skagit, and Island counties (and sometimes nearby areas). We aim to reach people who lack affordable access to regular medical care, and who need help with acute illnesses, chronic conditions, or preventive services. We Provide: Same‑Day Clinic / Urgent care plus services such as Chronic Care, Respiratory Care, Women’s Health Care, Procedures, Laboratory, Cardiology, Podiatry, Physical Therapy, Counseling and Mental Health Support, and dental. Other: You must be uninsured or underinsured (i.e. your insurance doesn’t cover needed care or you have a very high deductible). For the Dental Clinic specifically (operated with partners), there is an additional requirement that your household income be at or below 250 % of the Federal Poverty Level. Services are offered for free or at very low cost (i.e. “little or no cost”) depending on financial need.

WE SERVE: Families with children ages birth to five looking for a place to connect with other children and caregivers. WE PROVIDE: A welcoming place guided by an early childhood facilitator and supported by loving trained volunteers that provides activities that stimulate healthy development and creates opportunities for growth and discovery and an opportunity for discussions on relevant topics. OTHER: Parents and caregivers with children from birth to age 5 are eligible.

WE SERVE: Parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5 years hold in need of clothing and supplies. WE PROVIDE: Supportive environments to shop for free gently used clothing, baby items, diapers, shoes, as well as formula and books at two locations on Whidbey Island (Oak Harbor and Langley). OTHER: Parents and caregivers of children from birth to age 5 are eligible.

WE SERVE: Anyone who is in need of free diapers and hygiene supplies. WE PROVIDE: free toiletries including diapers, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, detergent, and many other kinds of toiletries. OTHER: The Garage of Blessings is available to anyone in need with no documentation required. Each shopper can fill one bag plus five extra items that do not fit in a bag

WE SERVE: Medicaid-eligible children 5 years old and younger. WE PROVIDE: Assistance finding dental services for children that are nearby, available, and in your preferred language. We also assist with coordinating transportation and interpreter services for the dental visits.

WE SERVE: Families with children from birth through adolescence across Whidbey Island, including Oak Harbor and Freeland. WE PROVIDE: Comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child check-ups, immunizations, developmental screenings, and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. OTHER: Children/young adults aged newborn to 16 years old for new patients (New patient acceptance dependant on availability - please call clinic to inquire if practice is currently taking new patients) and children/young adults newborn to 22 years old for established patients

WE SERVE: Children and adults of any age, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation regardless of income, occupation, gender, immigration status or citizenship status. WE PROVIDE: Family dentistry, including preventive dental exams for children and adults, emergency or urgent care, and referrals.

WE SERVE: Families with children — including infants, toddlers, and young teens — in Oak Harbor and surrounding communities. WE PROVIDE: Preventive dental care, emergency treatments, first dental visits restorative procedures, and frenectomy (toung-tie) treatments. Services are tailored to help children feel comfortable and have a postive experience.

WE SERVE: Families in Oak Harbor with young children, from infants to toddlers, who may need assistance in preparing their child for kindergarten. WE PROVIDE: Series of classes conducted by early learning specialists. Sessions include instruction in learning development, games, and activates for babies and toddlers. Parents receive free learning toys to encourage fun and growth at home.
